For many, it's a tough time of the year. Seasonal depression as the seasons change, a sense of loneliness as the holidays come near, a feeling of longing for a life different than the one you live, missing someone you've lost, the list goes on. Grief can but a spin on reality that clouds your joy. Some days it's hard to see the beauty. It can be difficult to remember what we have and what we appreciate. While it can be a challenge to see, the beauty is still there. Dogs prancing down the sidewalk, a smile from a stranger, the comfort of a warm cup of coffee. These things are small, but can be just enough to bring us back to the reality of goodness. Whether you can see the goodness around you or not, remember it's there. The days will soon get brighter, the light will return, and the hope restored. Hang in there to see it. Keep going! Your journey does not stop here, your grief is not forgotten.
