To the Ones We Have Lost

Sometimes, healing comes in ink.
The ink of a pen jotting out a love note, the ink of a remembrance tattoo of their birth flower/birthdate/handwriting, the ink of artwork to commemorate them or their passions.
Writing little notes to someone who has passed can be a quiet, powerful way to stay connected and continue showing your love. These notes don’t have to be perfect or poetic. Just honest and genuine to the ones we have lost. A simple “I miss you today” or “I wish you could see this” can open a space for grief, love, and memory to breathe.
Maybe you write in a journal. Maybe you right them on cards. Maybe you leave notes at their favorite place. Maybe you jot down what you're feeling on the back of a receipt or a scrap piece of paper because you thought of them while you were out. Maybe you fold them up and tuck them away. What matters is that you're letting your heart speak.
Grief doesn’t end when someone dies—and neither does love. These notes are a way of continuing the conversation. And sometimes, that’s exactly what we need to carry on. Wherever you are, however you honor them, your grief is not forgotten.
