Tiny Comfort

Your sock kept falling down and rubbing weird in your shoe. The hot water turned lukewarm in the middle of your shower. You stepped in a puddle of slush and your feet were soaked and freezing. You forgot your lunch. You felt overwhelmed by everything you wanted to accomplish today. The cashier had an attitude with you over making change. You got bad news on a project at work. You forgot to defrost the meat and now you're hangry. You get the picture. There are TONS of unpleasant things we may encounter on any given day. You may have experienced half a dozen of these types of things in one day. What a hassle. The great news is, you probably experienced something that brought you a bit of light and a tiny comfort too.
Someone complimented your sweater. You found a good parking spot close to the door. Your cup of tea was just the right temperature. There were clean sheets on the bed. Your dog greeted you at the door, tail wagging, after a long, exhausting day. You wore your favorite jeans. You missed rush hour on your commute. Someone held the door open for you. Your morning latte was served with a smile. Your favorite song was playing in the grocery store. The cat chose to sit by you. You saw a positive "feel good story" on the news.

The goodness and light in a tiny comfort might be a bit different for everyone, but they are there if you look for them!
What is one tiny moment of comfort I experienced today, even if subtle or small?
